Welcome to the Department of Orthopedics

The department of Orthopedics at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) diagnoses and treats every form of pediatric and adult disease of the musculoskeletal system. The department has an outstanding reputation based on its highly qualified, specialized medical staff and scientific knowledge of every aspect of orthopedics. Patients are treated by caring, skilled practitioners with many years of experience in sub-specialties of orthopedics.

The professorship in Orthopedics unites research and training at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. Generally, orthopedic inpatients are admitted to the Bad Bramstedt Clinic and Altona Children’s Hospital, while outpatients are attended to at two locations – the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf and the Bad Bramstedt Clinic.
