Thema, Forschungsart und Ziele
Unsere Arbeitsgruppe widmet sich neben der Durchführung neuropsychologischer Diagnostik und der Psychotherapie psychiatrischer Störungen der Erforschung (meta)kognitiver Defizite. Wir forschen zu einer Reihe psychiatrischer Krankheitsbilder, u.a. Schizophrenie, Zwangsstörung, Depression, Posttraumatische Belastungsstörung und Borderline Persönlichkeitsstörung in Kooperation mit Kollegen aus dem UKE sowie weiterer nationaler und internationaler wissenschaftlicher Einrichtungen.
Unsere Studien werden durch öffentliche Mittel (z.B. DFG, BMG, BMBF) sowie Spenden finanziert. Hierbei werden neben etablierten neuropsychologischen Verfahren und Fragebogentests auch eigene experimentell-kognitive Paradigmen vorgegeben. Ferner beschäftigen wir uns mit der Erforschung von Onlinebehandlungen. Unsere Arbeiten wurden in Form wissenschaftlicher Artikeln u.a. in The Journal of the American Medical Association Psychiatry, Behaviour Research and Therapy, Schizophrenia Bulletin und Epilepsia veröffentlicht.
